Cultural heritage enhacing driven by design in ceramics

January 30, 2014 by Luiza Barroso

For this project I have developed a methodology to insert cultural identity elements into ceramic plates designed to the tourism market of my hometown, Florianópolis in Brazil. The goal was to deliver the visitors keys to know more about the material and immaterial cultural heritage of the city through a complete gastronomic experience. This project had three phases: research of the city icons and graphic translation of these icons into patterns, design of the plate and conception of the packaging.
